Anyone have a lyrics importer that they like to use?
I've done a little googling but some of the widgets/apps/importers seem to be malware of some sort, so I thought I'd ask here...
I've got a MacBok running OS 10.4.11
Thanks!

TIME Magazine officially sucks.
The TIME Person of the Year for 2009 is...Ben Bernanke. Ben fucking Bernanke.
I missed it because I usually don't give a whit who is or isn't TIME's Person of the Year, considering my continual process of "waking up" and realizing these rags for what they are...but seriously?
Yeah right. As if anything else needs to be said, I turn only to the first page of Mish's Global Economic Analysis, which reads: "Seven Banks Fail, 140 YTD total, Sheila Bair 'prepared to handle an ever-larger number of bank failures next year'".
Uh-huh.
I have no idea what to say, other than the obvious: the editors of TIME are twats.

But Bernanke also knows the economy would be much, much worse if the Fed had not taken such extreme measures to stop the panic. There's a vast difference between 10% and 25% unemployment, between anemic and negative growth. He wishes Americans understood that he helped save the irresponsible giants of Wall Street only to protect ordinary folks on Main Street. He knows better than anyone how financial crises spiral into global disasters, how the grass gets crushed when elephants fall. "We came very, very close to a depression ... The markets were in anaphylactic shock," he told TIME during one of three extended interviews. "I'm not happy with where we are, but it's a lot better than where we could be."

Please boost the signal:

Clawdia needs a new home asap.! She's currently about 15 years old (she was a rescue when she was very small.)
She isnt very needy having been in a multi-cat environment for a few years now. Her current owner describes her as, "independent, territorial, picky eater, does't snuggle. She is not a lapcat, goes her own way"
So if you would like a roommate that has 4 legs and no job but leaves you alone this may be a good fit for you!
She would do best in a single cat household I suspect
It's find her a new home or take her to the pound where she will have little to no luck.

Couple’s tax transfer runs afoul of assessor
The definition of the value of something is the price that is actually paid for it. The arrogance of government thinking that it can set a value in some manner other than that. This is a fundamental problem with giving the government so much power just because we want to get "free" stuff from other people.
But the county assessor’s office denied their request because its appraisers believe the Seylers sold their house for more than it was really worth. The county believes the couple owe more than $5,500 in property taxes rather than the $2,000 they had planned on.

Annnd - I'm never using theatre make-up again. It's been months and it's only finally now starting to look like it's clearing up. I wont know how bad the scarring is for another couple of months.
maybe I'll look normal by PCon.

My wife had an iMac at work and a PowerBook G4 at home. She now has a new MacBook Pro from work. Her work set up her iMac account on her MBP, but we also want to transfer her PB account to the MPB and have two separate accounts; one for one, one for home/personal use. Before I get it going, does anyone know if Migration Assistant will have a problem putting an account on a machine with a main account already set up. We'll be using the same user name from the PB on the MBP for the personal account.

I want to let you know that I have created a few communities (because I couldn't decide on what spelling to use) that are meant to seed discussion about the relative merits and weaknesses of Apple products and acknowledge that while no human construct is perfect, we choose to spend our time, money, and attention on these devices and software.
All are welcome, except those who can't play nice.
Feel free to join the community on the user profile pages, and get to discussing!
Pick your favorite spelling or more:
apple_critic
applecritics
critics_of_aapl
And to be honest, if none of these go anywhere, I'm not too upset. I just thought that while outsiders, noobs, and die-hard PC users may deem any Mac user as a "Mac Lover" which may be true, but it doesn't mean we "hate" everything else. I myself use Windows and Linux on a daily basis, and each has it's merits and finesse that are unique. And other platforms adopting those elements is not a failure of adoption, but a win for all users!
So, if you happen to like Apple products and you've got something you want to share, a cool feature, a point of frustration, come share it with us. Maybe someone can help out or you can help them out!
If you think you want to help moderate one of these communities, I'm welcome to help too.

I've had my Macbook Pro 15-inch for roughly a year and four months, and the battery health is already at 24% with 137 charged cycles.
Is this normal? The laptop won't even last an hour without being plugged in -- and this only happened recently as it was able to work at 3 hours just a few weeks ago.
I don't have Apple Care and my warranty is over. :(

I went through all of my movies and listed the times that I wanted from them. For example, I want :34 to 1:45 of a clip. But iMovie doesn't display the times for each of the frames. I want to cut clips based on time. How I can do that in iMovie?
I'm finding iMovie very difficult to deal with. It's not at all like their video tutorials. *sigh*
