‘Reformist’ Iranian Candidate Founded Hezbollah

Jun. 20th, 2009 | 04:02 pm

Note: this is the guy those who are protesting want in office. Also a mass murder. (site that was down finally loaded)

Wednesday, June 3, 2009 1:03 PM By: Kenneth R. Timmerman

The leading contender of the “reformist” camp in Iran’s presidential elections, former Prime Minister Mir Hossein Mousavi Khameneh, was a founder of Hezbollah and a key architect of the Islamic Republic’s dreaded intelligence services, Iranian political activists and scholars tell Newsmax.

His wife, Zahra Rahnavard, is making campaign appearances with him wearing an Iranian-style Islamic veil. Some in the West are even calling her the “Michelle Obama” of Iran. And yet, a recent photograph from an official Iranian news agency shows her stomping on an American flag.

[this part is ironic since Michele O disapproved of America until her husband became president]

Mousavi was “one of the architects of the Ministry of Intelligence and Information” when it was established in 1984, Bahram said.

That ministry, also referred to as MOIS, was modeled closely after the KGB and was established with the help of Soviet advisers.

Iran Election

Jun. 20th, 2009 | 02:08 pm

NOT GOOD. Someone just told me Mousavi founded Hezbollah! I can't confirm this, but I can confirm he supports Hezbollah.

Hezbollah is major anti American terrorist group.

Man this is a sick joke, if you are supporting the democracy demonstrators in Iran you are indirectly supporting anti American terrorism.

How much more twisted can this event get!?

Who Is Mir Hossein Mousavi?
http://www.spilledink.com/8d8cea9c
- supports Iran nuke program
- supported Ayatollah Khomeini
- supports Hezbolla and Hamas

Iran Election

Jun. 20th, 2009 | 12:30 pm

This event is very moving. It makes me reflect on various issues that I have written about in LJ. The protest is being compared to Tiananmen Square - no doubt the desire is the same. I wholly support the right to uncorrupted elections, free speech, and the right to peacefully protest/demonstrate.

And I can't help but notice the comparison to Iraq: a leader who killed those who disagreed, censorship, limited rights, and phony elections Saddam 'wins 100% of vote'". Telegraph: "100 per cent of the votes last week, from a 100 per cent turn-out of the electorate, with no other candidates standing against him". We shouldn't overlook that Saddam was a mass murder (100,000s killed) as well as an economic supporter of terrorism. How could Saddam's Iraq be less of an issue than what is happening in Iran today.

The Whitehouse was mostly passive towards the reigning gov. However today Obama has a firmer stance. http://bit.ly/EAIZP

I have to say, the way the news has elevated Twitter is a little silly. First of all - none of the info on Twitter is vetted. Most of it is re-tweets or parroting. It is entirely possible the activity on Twitter is a false indicator.
